Remembering Paul Mineo
It is with enormous regret that our customer and dear friend, Paul
Mineo, takes a place here in this corner of our site where we remember
our loved ones.
Paul
and Donna have been known to San-San and I since prior to our purchase
of Szechuan Tokyo. We looked forward to their visits because they both
made the evening sparkle with wit and a sense of humor when they were
with us.
Even the last time we saw him, Paul was upbeat, witty, and
optimistic. We didn't know that he was, at that time, aware he was
fighting a losing battle. So kind and thoughtful was he, he chose not to
detail the gravity of his condition, lest he burden us with his own
tribulations. His burden was made that much lighter by Donna, not only
his spouse but his soul-mate.
He will be sorely missed by San-San, Cais and I. We pray that the
hole in Donna's heart will get a little smaller as time goes on. She is
in our hearts, and on our minds.

things he had learned. Besides his cherished wife, Donna, he leaves his

sisters-in-law, James and Toni Mineo of Lake Grove, NY, and Nicholas and
Dawn Mineo of Shoreham, NY; his nieces and nephews, Emily, Daniel and

Mineo; his former wife, with whom he maintained a close relationship,
Maureen Culhane; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was
predeceased by his brother-in-law, James Clifford and his nephew, James
Clifford, Jr. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, August 30th, 7
p.m. at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 136 South Main Street, West
Hartford. Calling hours will be Thursday, the day of the service, 3 – 5
