GOLDER-NOVICK
Saxophonist Ben Golder-Novick is an
in-demand, versatile musician. He has performed with acclaimed groups
such as Melvin Sparks, the Rebirth Brass Band, and the New Black Eagles
Jazz Band. On April 26th, Ben will be having a CD release party for his
debut jazz album, "Out of the Fog." The CD features some of Ben's
original compositions as well his interpretations of jazz standards. Ben
will be accompanied by an All-Star rhythm section of veteran players on
the Northeast jazz scene.
Pianist Matt Warner performs regurlarly
with jazz legends Steve Davis and Nat Reeves. He has also performed with
Eddie Henderson and is a member of the Obie Gerau Experience. Known for
his tasteful approach and light touch, Matt cites Herbie Hancock as his
main influence.
Brian Jenkins (bass) is a veteran on the
Northeast jazz scene, having performed and recorded with jazz legends
such as Houston Person and Steve Davis. His versatility and flawless
musicianship have kept him in high demand for the last decade and a
half.
Bill Carbone (drums) has toured with ground-breaking jazz groups such as the Miracle
Orchestra and Dead Cat Bounce. He has also performed with Charlie Hunter
and Ron Levy's Wild Kingdom. His drumming style fuses straight-ahead
jazz with African polyrhythms.
